Ultimate Preparation: are you ultimately prepared?
If we have the luxury of the ability to have some extra food and water laid aside, we are prepared for a short-term unsavory event, but eventually those stored supplies would run out.
The ultimate preparation is being prepared to meet God and to give an account to Him.
Are you PREPARED for that?
Consider the selected Scriptures below, copied from the Authorized Version of the English Bible (KJV).
"For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." ~ Ecclesiastes 12:14
"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment." ~ Matthew 12:36
"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world . . . Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:" ~ Matthew 25:31-34, 41
"Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." ~ John 5:28-29
"But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God." ~ Romans 14:10-12
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." ~ 2 Corinthians 5:10
"Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead . . . For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" ~ 1 Peter 4:4-5, 17
"And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." ~ Revelation 20:11-13
